Doctor Linked To Matthew Perry's Death Released On $50,000

One of the doctors charged in connection with Matthew Perry’s fatal overdose, Dr. Mark Chavez, is set to be released on a $50000 bond. Chavez is permitted to post bail, butmust surrender his passport and medical license. Chavez also agreed to help prosecutors pursue others involved in the death of the ‘Friends’ star, with their main target being Dr. Salvador Plasencia. Plascencia has been charged with seven counts of distribution of ketamine and two charges of falsifying records following Perry’s death. Perry died from the acute effects of ketamine after he had been using the drug to treat his depression. The actor struggled with addiction for most of his career, dating back to his time on the hit sit-com.
