Ridley Scott, Hollywood director, leaked the news that Paul Mescal will play Paul McCartney in Beatles biopic

Paul Mescal is rumored to be playing Paul McCartney in the upcoming Beatles movies, according to director Ridley Scott. During a Q&A with fellow filmmaker Christopher Nolan, Scott was asked about his next project, ‘The Dog Stars.’ He revealed that Mescal will "maybe" star in the film. The ‘Gladiator II’ director continued, “Paul is actually stacked up, doing the Beatles next. So I may have to let him go.” Mescal is rumored to be playing McCartney in Sam Mendes' upcoming Beatles films, with Sony Pictures planning to produce four, each focusing on a different band member. When asked about the rumors by Entertainment Tonight, the actor said, “It would be an incredible story to be attached to,” but didn't confirm or deny the speculation. Ringo Starr, the band’s drummer, seemingly revealed that Barry Keoghan would be playing himself, saying, “I think he’s great, I believe he’s somewhere taking drum lessons. I hope not too many.” In a statement earlier this year, Mendes said he was “honored to be telling the story of the greatest rock band of all time, and excited to challenge the notion of what constitutes a trip to the movies.”
