Easy Ways You Can Reduce Your Screen Time

We all know that staring at screens constantly is bad for our health. So here are some easy ways to reduce screen time. You don’t need to have notifications on for every app on your phone. Turn off all non-essential notifications. As long as you’re still reachable via call or text, there’s no need to have other notifications on. Never watch TV in bed or bring your phone with you to the bathroom. Both of these activities only encourage us to look at screens for longer than necessary. Establish screen-free zones in the home. Good places to start are at the dining table and in the bedroom. Make use of screen-time features on your phone. Many now have apps or built-in features available to analyze usage. Start using them to see how long you spend on your phone daily and turn on time limits for your most-used apps. Tell your friends to call instead of text. Rather than sending 20 messages in 15 minutes, it’s much easier and nicer to call someone. It may feel strange at first to have a phone call with friends, but after a while, you’ll get used to it and perhaps even prefer it.
