Match Of The Day presenter Gary Lineker has been asked to step down from hosting the BBC's flagship football programme over a tweet. Lineker, 62, became embroiled in a row over impartiality after comparing the language used to launch a new government asylum seeker policy with 1930s Germany. Former Match of the Day host Dan Walker shared text messages from Lineker where he said he had been told to "step back" from the show.
