Modi in USA: With AUKUS cloud over Quad, PM meets Australia's Morrison to talk defence, trade

Amid questions being raised about the new alliance of Australia, United Kingdom and United States of America (AUKUS) clashing with the objective of the Quadrilateral grouping, Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a bilateral meeting with his Australian counterpart Scott Morrison. The meeting occurred a day before the two participate in a Quad summit with US President Joe Biden and Japanese PM Yoshihide Suga. Modi and Morrison discussed regional and global developments, and spoke on cooperation related to Covid-19, defence, trade, and people-to-people ties.
