Colombian singer Shakira has put to rest rumors surrounding her split from ex-Gerard Piqué. In an interview with The Sunday Times, the 'Hips Don’t Lie' singer refuted claims that Piqué’s alleged infidelity was exposed by a jar of jam. She dismissed claims that she discovered her ex's infidelity by finding a half-eaten jar of jam in her fridge, stating it was "not true." Speculation arose after viewers noticed Shakira looking into her fridge in the music video for her song 'Te Felicito.' Soon after, it was revealed that Piqué was in a relationship with Clara Chia Marti. Shakira and Piqué, who have two songs together, publicly ended their 11-year relationship in June 2022. "For a long time I put my career on hold, to be next to Gerard, so he could play football. There was a lot of sacrifice for love," Shakira added.
