Kozhikode: A flash flood struck Kannappankundu region in Kozhikode on Friday. Tragedy has struck again in this region which is overcoming from the destruction in the deluge. Though there is no heavy rain, flash flood is reported in the river which dried up after the floods that occurred in the month of August. It is assumed that, landslide inside the forest might have led to the flash floods in the region. The officials including district administration authority issued warning to the public after meteorological department has alerted on depression in the sea. People are in panic as the flash floods during monsoon have diverted the rivers course by destructing houses. Landslides had occurred twice in Kannappankundu during the monsoons.
