The Parrot Drill is a useful drill for any level of basketball player. With beginners, this drill allows athletes to learn and improve on skills like hand-eye coordination and ball-handling. As the players become more advanced, progressions include combination dribbles and increased speed. For this drill, you'll need at least two players, partnered up and facing eachother, with one being the leader and the other being the parrot. Make sure each player remains in a stance with their head up, focusing on their teammates moves. The coach can decide to play through until one player loses their dribble, or go for timed intervals to increase or decrease the level of conditioning.
