Sajid Javid: It would be irresponsible to rule out another lockdown

Health Secretary Sajid Javid has refused to rule out the option of further lockdowns if Covid-19 cases take off again. Mr Javid said the Government had to be prepared for the possibility that a new variant could emerge which could evade the vaccines.
