Commuters flock to buses amid Tube strike in London

London commuters returning after the Platinum Jubilee weekend are facing chaos on Monday as a major Tube strike goes ahead. The RMT union has called up to 4,000 station staff out on strike affecting stations across the city for 24 hours from one minute past midnight. Just before 9am on Monday the Circle, Victoria and Waterloo & City lines were closed with the Bakerloo, Central, District, Hammersmith & City, Jubilee, Northern and Piccadilly lines running a special service. There was a good service on the Metropolitan, London Overground, Elizabeth Line, DLR and tram services.
