Host Chris Megan heads to the mouth of the Connecticut River with good friend Captain Joe Diorio to catch large striped bass on topwater lures and live bunker. After pushing off the dock in Old Lyme, Connecticut, Capt. Joe Diorio and Chris Megan head under the Amtrak commuter rail bridge and head to the flats on the mouth of the Connecticut River. Despite high pressure, bright sunshine, and high air temperatures Joe and Chris find a school of large striped bass hiding in the shallow river flats. By fishing a topwater lure, known as the doc, Chris and Joe catch a number of large striped bass out of the murky shallows of the river mouth.
