A recent survey conducted by the American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network ACS CAN has found that nearly all patients and survivors with health insurance are affected by cancer-related medical debt, something which anyone can experience, even celebrities like "When Calls the Heart" actress Mamie Laverock, late actress Valerie Harper, "Walking Dead" star Eric Jensen, Olympian Mary Lou Retton, all who have, or have had loved ones, create crowdfunds to help manage their medical financial situation.
