Mayor Mamdani calls Moody's outlook change 'premature'

Mayor Zohran Mamdani dismissed New York City's credit rating taking a hit, telling reporters that everything will be fine since Albany is coming to bail out the Big Apple with billions of dollars. Moody's downgraded the city's bond rating to a negative on Wednesday, signaling to investors the city is a risky investment in response to the young Hizzoner proposing draining its savings accounts. Mamdani said Thursday the move was "premature" and highlighted how state lawmakers have discussed sending $5 billion to NYC as part of their budget.
