Raised on O’ahu, Chef Chung Chow is passionate about Hawai’i’s modern cuisine. Through Noreetuh, the restaurant he co-owns, Chow brings an Island sensibility to New York City's East Village with elevated takes on local staples--musubi, pork belly, poke, mac salad, fried rice and more. We follow Chow on a recent visit home to the Islands, through the streets of Chinatown where he grew up helping his family run their King Street noodle shop. He introduces us to some of his favorite spots and dives into the origins of the distinctive, multicultural Island cuisine he brings to New York.
