Manchester United have officially appointed Erik Ten Hag as their new manager on a three-year deal. The Ajax head coach will take over as Manchester United manager from the end of the current season. Manchester United are said to have not activated the Dutchman’s release clause. Instead, they are said to have come to an agreement with Ajax separate from the clause in his contract. Ten Hag says he is honored and excited to be appointed the manager of Manchester United. "I know the history of this great club and the passion of the fans, and I am absolutely determined to develop a team capable of delivering the success they deserve," Erik Ten Hag. Ten Hag will replace Ralf Rangnick, who took over as interim manager after the club sacked Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in November.
