Almost five years of complex work by specialist officers has secured the conviction of a man who was behind the wheel of a car which drove over an injured man who lay prone on the ground. Martin Stokes, 28, has been sentenced after admitting ABH and causing serious injury by dangerous driving. The incident took place outside the Sugar Hut, in Brentwood High Street. in the early hours of April 2, 2017.
