Broken promises: Life without running water on the Navajo Nation

It is a shameful, lesser-known reality of the United States in 2022 that about 2.2 million people Iive without running water or basic plumbing. Native Americans are disproportionately impacted with one in ten Indigenous people living without safe water. The issue affects Native Americans at 67 times the rate of white Americans. Black and Latino people are twice as likely to be affected. But Dig Deep, a human rights non-profit, is trying to make the difference by running an installation service across reservations to provide clean, running water access.
