Columbia University grad Mahmoud Khalil was taken into custody at an University-owned apartment by federal immigration officials on March 8th. Khalil is a Palestinian former student and known campus agitator who has led anti-Israel activists at Columbia. According to his lawyer, Amy Greer, Khalil is a permanent US resident with a green card.
