British Prime Minister on Ukraine-Russia War

The United Kingdom should "double down" on its military and diplomatic support for Ukraine in its war against Russia, British Prime Minister and Labour Party Leader Keir Starmer told members of the House of Commons. His statement on the ongoing war came after he hosted a meeting of European leaders in London to discuss their support for Ukraine in the wake of a meeting between President Trump, Vice President Vance, and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in which the three leaders exchanged tense words in front of television cameras in the White House Oval Office. Prime Minister Starmer answered questions from many House of Commons members on his plan to boost U.K. defense spending by partnering with defense contractors, as well as his read on the U.S.'s long-term commitments to European security.
