For 45 years, Wayne Gustaveson was a fisheries biologist and project leader at Lake Powell. His storied career is legendary to anglers who fish at Powell, so it was big news when he retired in 2021. In this episode of KSL Outdoors, we join Wayne and his wife to catch striped bass in the San Juan Arm and find out what he's been up to. We also introduce you to Dan Keller, Wayne's replacement and the new Lake Powell project leader. Along the way, we discuss his plans for the lake while catching fat stripers. It was a great day of fishing thanks to Bob Reed of Uplake Adventures. He took us out on his new Axopar, which turned out to be an ideal boat for winter fishing at Powell.
