T'puram: Popular violinist Balabhaskar and his family met with an accident in the wee hours on Tuesday. His 2-year-old daughter Thejaswi Bala succumbed to her injuries at the hospital. Balabhaskar, his wife Lakshmi and driver Arjun who were severely injured have been admitted to the Intensive Care Unit of a private hospital here. The accident took place when the car collided onto a tree after the driver lost control of the vehicle. It is learnt that the car got completely damaged in the accident. Balabhaskar was returning from Thrissur after visiting a temple. The incident occurred near Pallipuram in Thiruvananthapuram on Tuesday at 4.30 in the morning. It is assumed that the driver would have fallen asleep and that would have led to the accident.
