Dr. Casey Means says she is 'absolutely in support' of measles vaccine during confirmation hearing

Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor and Pensions (HELP) Chairman Bill Cassidy (R-La.) grilled Dr. Casey Means over her position on abortion and vaccines. "I believe every patient needs to have a very thorough conversation with a doctor before taking a medication," she said when asked whether an in-person visit should be mandatory to be prescribed mifepristone, part of a two-drug regimen to cause an abortion. Cassidy seemed slightly unsatisfied that Means' response wasn't clearer, though she explained it would be out of her purview as surgeon general.
