Jonathan Franzen talked about his memoir, [The Discomfort Zone: A Personal History], published by Farrar, Straus and Giroux. During the event, Mr. Franzen read a portion of the book describing his efforts to sell the house his mother lived in before she died. He also talked about writing novels and the reaction his brothers had to his writing a book about the family. He responded to questions from members of the audience.
