REVERSE MIKAN DRILL. Former NBA player, Mark Strickland, teaches you the all-important Reverse Mikan Drill. Start by standing directly under the basket, facing mid-court, with your head making an invisible line from the bottom of the net to the top of your head. Start off in an athletic stance and make sure that you are holding the ball directly under your chin with both elbows pointed out. If you start on the right side you want to take a step with your right foot towards the right, while jumping extend your left knee up as high as possible and shoot the reverse layup with your left hand. Vice versa going to the left. You want to get to a point where you can retrieve your layup out of the net and continuously repeat the drill.
