Lewis Hamilton has ruled himself out of the Formula 1 world championship after finishing 13th in the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix. The 37-year-old said there was “no question” that he was out of the fight for the championship following the race. "I am out of the championship, and there’s no question about that. It has been a weekend to forget," Lewis Hamilton. Hamilton apologized to his team after the race, which saw him finish nine places behind his teammate George Russell. The result means Hamilton is already 58 points behind championship leader Charles Leclerc after just four races. Mercedes boss Toto Wolff defended the seven-time world champion after the race. Saying the Mercedes car is not good enough and not worthy of a world champion like Hamilton.
