Interim Iranian leadership council ‘has begun its work’

Iranian president Masoud Pezeshkian announced that a new leadership council “has begun its work” following the death of Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei. In a prerecorded message broadcast on state television, Pezeshkian said he is serving on the three-member council alongside judiciary chief Gholam Hossein Mohseni Ejehei and Ali Reza Arafi.
