Dem Rep. Smith on Spy Balloon: I'd Be 'Stunned' if China Hadn't Done Similar Before, But Flying over U.S. Airspace Is 'Increasingly Reckless'

On Saturday's "CNN Newsroom," House Armed Services Committee Ranking Member Rep. Adam Smith (D-WA) stated that he would be shocked if China hadn't done something similar to its behavior with the spy balloon, but that "flying something directly over U.S. airspace, that I think is a far more rare event. I don't, off the top of my head, know of a precedent."
