President Donald Trump welcomed British Prime Minister Keir Starmer to the White House for a bilateral meeting. Mr. Starmer was the second European to visit Mr. Trump during his second term as president. Also, a reporter asked the president if he could get a peace deal to end the Russia-Ukraine war, and he responded that he could. This event happened one day ahead of President Zelensky's expected meeting with President Trump in Washington to sign a deal in which Ukraine would give the U.S. a large amount of its minerals in exchange for possible security guarantees against Russia.
