[The Dark Side of Pet Breeding] was one of the second-prize high school east division winners in C-SPAN Classroom's StudentCam documentary contest. Asher Anantham, Alana Anantham, and Zarina Aronson, tenth and seventh graders at Montgomery Blair High School, Westland Middle School, and Green Acres School in Silver Spring, Bethesda, and North Bethesda, Maryland, produced this video on the 2023 theme: "If you were a newly-elected member of Congress, which issue would be your first priority and why?" The local cable provider was Comcast. C-SPAN Classroom's StudentCam video documentary contest is an annual national competition in which middle and high school students produce a documentary on a specific theme.
