An elderly woman was left in critical condition after being stabbed in the neck by a homeless man in a random attack in downtown Los Angeles March 31. The terrifying incident occurred near Olympic Boulevard and Hope Street around 10:15 a.m., according to the LAPD. Authorities later took the assailant, who is believed to be homeless, into custody near Fifth and Flower streets.
