Blast in Delhi: Israel envoy says diplomats safe, Jaishankar assures security

Israel ambassador to India Ron Malka informed that their diplomats and employees are safe. Malka's statement came following a low-intensity blast near the Israel embassy in New Delhi. The Israel envoy said there were no injuries and the blast is under probe by Indian authorities. 'There was an explosion just outside the Israeli embassy in New Delhi. Fortunately, nobody is hurt and all the diplomats and families are safe. It happened on the day we mark 29 years of diplomatic relations establishment with India. The incident is under probe by Indian authorities who are in contact with Israeli authorities. Authorities from both sides are cooperating in the investigation," he said. Meanwhile, a team of forensic experts examined the blast site and collected evidence. The 10-member team has handed over the evidence to a special cell for further investigation. EAM S Jaishankar met his Israeli counterpart, Gabi Ashkenazi and assured all co-operation. Delhi Police Commissioner SN Shrivastava also visited the incident site near the Israel embassy.
