Airline Offers Passengers Chance To Reserve Both Armrests

Passengers on board Frontier Airlines will soon have the option to reserve both armrests on budget flights to make the journey more pleasant. Frontier Group Holdings Inc., whose headquarters sit in Colorado, announced the new initiative, which will start on April 10, 2024. It will allow travelers to upgrade to the “UpFront Plus” option from $49, thus affording them extra elbow space. Those who avail will sit in specially designed seats in the first two rows of the aircraft, which block off the middle seat and promise extra legroom. "Many consumers strongly prefer a seating option that offers extra space when flying. Frontier is all about choice and giving consumers the flexibility to customize their travel to suit their individual needs and preferences," said Barry Biffle, CEO of Frontier Airlines. Biffle said that the new upgrade, as well as new premium economy and business class offerings, will “give the company a revenue boost." Bloomberg reported that this is a way for the airline to combat the fluctuating travel patterns of the public over the past few years.
