It’s very rare for civilians to get a peek inside a B-2 stealth bomber, but a few clips have offered a glimpse. In 2019, Defense News unveiled a video in which they partnered with independent journalist Jeff Bolton to reveal the cockpit of a B-2 in flight. This was the first time The US Airforce allowed a civilian journalist to ride along and film. The public was first treated to a look inside a grounded B-2 six years earlier in 2013 when PBS SoCal’s Huell Howser was invited on a tour. The B-2 first entered service in 1997, and each one costs more than $2 billion. The US Air Force has a fleet of 19 — after losing one in a crash in 2008. America used B-2 stealth bombers to attack the Fordow nuclear enrichment plant in Iran on June 21 in an unprecedented airstrike. The fleet took off from Whiteman Air Force Base outside Kansas City on Friday for an 18-hour ride across the world, refueling several times in midair, officials said.
