Firefighter accused of brutal slaying of wife has arraignment moved to April

The Glendale fireman accused of bludgeoning his wife to death with an ax in their North Hollywood apartment appeared in court today wearing a suicide vest. Andrew Jimenez stood behind plexiglass, wearing the blue vest with no shirt underneath, his muscles clearly visible as a sheriff’s department deputy led him in and out of the courtroom. The accused murderer was shackled as he stood before Judge McGonigle in a downtown LA courthouse. He looked broken and stared straight ahead as his public defender Mark Carrillo asked that he not be photographed.
