The expert advised residents to stay vigilant and take precautions during this time. In Sagar, a startling incident occurred when a cobra was found inside a house at the FSL Quarter near the Police Line. The snake had taken refuge behind a picture of a deity in the home's prayer room. The alarm was raised when a female sub-inspector, who had come to perform her daily prayers, spotted the snake and fled in terror, alerting nearby residents. Local snake catcher Akil Baba was promptly informed and arrived at the scene to conduct a rescue operation. After some effort, he was able to locate the snake behind the religious image and safely capture it. The cobra, measuring approximately 3 feet in length, was noted to be highly venomous. Akil Baba explained that the recent rains had caused snakes to leave their burrows and seek shelter in residential areas. He urged residents to maintain cleanliness around their homes and exercise caution, particularly at night, to prevent encounters with such dangerous wildlife. The captured cobra will be released safely into the forest.
