This is the heartwarming moment a grandma browsing a supermarket while on a video call with her grandkids takes an age to finally realize they are in her home for a surprise visit. Granddaughter Taylor, 19, from Plainview, New York, is extremely close to her grandmother, Ruth, and so she wanted to visit her while back from college over the summer. Taylor only had a small window, so she contacted her cousin, Jordan, who lives in the next town over, and asked if she wanted to pay their grandmother a surprise. On July 11, the pair headed to Ruth’s house, in Dix Hills, New York, only to discover she wasn’t home, so they decided to work on an alternative plan. They thought jumping out on her at home might be a little too scary – so they instead opted to head inside the house and video call Ruth to see if she noticed where they were. With Taylor recording the video call on her phone, the cousins were instead met with a chill Ruth, going about her day in the supermarket, chatting, with no clue where the cousins were. As the pair moved through the house, showing their grandma more and more angles of where they were, Taylor and Jordan’s laughter only increased – but they were also just happy their grandma was so delighted to see the pair together. Things eventually clicked for Ruth when she noticed her refrigerator, with Taylor later sharing a video of her grandma’s reaction – and initial lack of one – on social media, where viewers commented on how cute the moment was.
