The global economy is ‘settling into a better equilibrium’, says this World Bank expert

Indermit Gill is the Chief Economist of the World Bank. He says the world economy is doing better than was expected 6 months ago. Many chief economists polled by the World Economic Forum are optimistic about 2025. In the US, nearly 9 in 10 chief economists expect moderate or strong growth in the year ahead while 70% predict strong or very strong growth in South Asia. However, Gill says it’s important to put this growth into context.
