Typhoon Sinlaku exploded into a super typhoon with winds reaching that of a Category 5 hurricane. The powerful storm is now passing northeast of Guam, sparing the island from direct impacts. But the Northern Mariana Islands, another U.S. Territory, and the islands of Saipan and Tinian are now seeing a direct hit.
