On April 28th, Secretary of Education Linda McMahon testified before the Senate Appropriations Subcommittee on Labor, Health and Human Services, Education, and Related Agencies. During the hearing, Subcommittee Chairwoman Shelley Moore Capito (R-WV) emphasized the "critical need" for the 21st CCLC program, noting that teachers, parents, and school leaders in West Virginia deeply value the program and the opportunities it provides for students and families.
