Secretary of State Marco Rubio described his conversations with Middle Eastern leaders as "frank" and "honest" as the region grapples with the fallout from the Iran war. "These are long-standing relationships with these countries, so we speak very frankly, very openly, very honestly," Rubio told reporters in Kuwait. "We get their input, and that's what we're here to do, to get their input." "They're our partners — I'm not here to tell them, I'm here to hear, as well. And so I thought they were very frank, honest, and important conversations. I think we're very strongly aligned," he added. Rubio is meeting with Kuwaiti leadership after visiting the United Arab Emirates earlier Wednesday. His final stop will be Bahrain, where he will also meet with the Gulf Coperation Council.
