Newspapers Drop Dilbert Comic After Creator's Racist Comments

Several newspapers, including USA Today network and The New York Times, announced that they will stop publishing the Dilbert comic strip. This comes after Dilbert creator Scott Adams described Black people as a “hate group” in a video published on his YouTube channel. The Dilbert comic strip first debuted in 1989 and became popular for how it pokes fun at office culture. Adams made the comments after seeing the results of a Rasmussen Reports survey. The survey asked people if they agreed with the statement “it’s okay to be white”. In the YouTube video Adams referred to Black people as a “racist hate group” and said he would no longer “help Black Americans”. Based on the current way things are going, the best advice I would give to white people is to get the hell away from Black people, Scott Adams, Dilbert Creator. In a new YouTube video, Adams defended his comments saying that people should “avoid any group that doesn’t respect you”.
