If you are talking about the hockey coaching and playing career of Cory Laylin, get a world map out to follow along. Laylin, who grew up in St. Cloud, Minn., played for the University of Minnesota from 1988-92. He then played in Europe from 1992-2008 in Austria, Slovenia, Italy, Germany and Denmark as well as playing some pro hockey in North America. He has coached pro in Italy, junior hockey in the NAHL, high school hockey in Minnesota and then at the NCAA Division III (Hamline, assistant and head coach) and Division I (St. Thomas, assistant) levels. Laylin talks about this season's St. Thomas men's hockey team, the challenges facing the Tommies as they continue in their journey in their second Division I season and what the recruiting has been like.
