Pierce Brosnan has pleaded guilty to hiking off-trail by geothermal pools in a restricted area of Yellowstone National Park in Montana. This comes two months after Brosnan initially pleaded not guilty to trespassing on the site, where waters can reach boiling temperatures. A Wyoming judge accepted his final plea and ordered the 'James Bond' star to pay a fine of over $1,500 for the offense. His payment will go towards efforts to preserve Yellowstone National Park. Not only was he charged with violating environmental regulations, but he was also accused of disregarding no-access signs. Both of the actor’s crimes are classified as “petty offenses/misdemeanors." Federal rules insist visitors stay on the designated walkways around hot springs and violations are punishable by up to six months in jail.
