The New York Immigration Coalition (NYIC) released video from what they say is a United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement processing center in NYC, which is a facility that has been at the center of recent drama involving democratic lawmakers. A man filming in the facility reveals a number of people standing, sitting and sprawled out on foil blankets in a room, which has two toilets – one seemingly out of order – separated by a small wall. According to Storyful, the center is not subject to Congressional oversight because it is classified as a holding center, rather than a detention center, which means lawmakers cannot make unannounced visits.
