Arnold Schwarzenegger shared some heartfelt words about long-time friend Bruce Willis following his retirement from acting. Family of the 68-year-old, who was diagnosed with aphasia in 2022, announced that he was “stepping away” from his career as a result. Aphasia affects a person’s ability to speak, write and understand language, however, Willis’ condition worsened a year after his diagnosis. His family announced in February 2023, that he had been diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia. Schwarzenegger, while promoting his new series FUBAR, told CinemaBlend of the “kind man” Bruce Willis is. "I think he’s fantastic. He was for years and years a huge star. I think that he will always be remembered as a great star. And a kind man," he said. Despite acknowledging Willis’ “circumstances”, the 75-year-old explained that “ action heroes never really retire, they reload."
