Iran has said that the new Taliban government is against its expectations and the expectations of the international community. The latest Iranian criticism of Taliban has come days after it condemned the Islamist group's offensive in Panjshir and had also raised concern at the alleged interference of Pakistan military. Over the years, Iran and Taliban had developed close ties after turbulent relations of the 90s.
