MootComp 2021 - Session 1 October 15, 2021 - 12pm ET Digital Economy & Merger Control: Lessons and Implications for Latin America Mergers (both past and proposed) in the so-called digital economy are under particular scrutiny, everywhere, at the moment. This is true in the EU, the U.S., Latin America and worldwide. Different stakeholders naturally have distinct takes on the issues at play. Therefore, this event seeks to explore those distinct perspectives in the most discursive manners possible: a conference involving distinguished practitioners alongside a competitive moot court. Through the medium of the conference debates (and the moot court), all viewpoints will be explored, and the relevant issues will be discussed in detail. These issues are relevant to Latin America but also to the world at large: therefore, all of these discussions should be of interest to anyone with an interest in the competition regulation of digital platforms (no matter where they are located). We hope you can join us for what will no doubt prove to be an exciting set of events.
