Sannidhanam: The National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) is ready to face any emergency situation that may rise in Sabarimala. About 90 Army personnel have reached Sannidhanam as a part of NDRF to rescue the pilgrims in any emergency situation including natural disasters. NDRF has been serving at Sannidhanam and Pamba from the last eleven years. 50 personnel alone are posted at Sannidhanam. The NDRF are trained to rescue people from situations like landslides, flash floods, rush of pilgrims etc. They are equipped with all the latest equipments required to tackle and overcome emergency situations.
