Records That Could Be Broken At This Year's Oscars

The Oscars is considered the biggest night of the year in the film industry so here are a few records that could be broken at the 95th Academy Awards. 91-year-old John Williams has been nominated for Best Original Score for his work on 'The Fabelmans'. If Williams wins the award, he could become the oldest winner of a competitive Oscar. Angela Bassett has been nominated for Best Supporting Actress for her role in 'Black Panther: Wakanda Forever'. If she wins, it would be the first time an actor has won an Oscar for a role in a Marvel Cinematic Universe movie. Michelle Yeoh is in the running for Best Lead Actress for 'Everything Everywhere All At Once', while co-star Ke Huy Quan is in the running for Best Supporting Actor. If Yeoh wins, she would become the first Malaysian to win an Oscar and the first Southeast Asian to win in that category. If Quan wins, he would become the first Vietnamese-born actor to win an Oscar for an acting performance. If Paul Mescal wins Best Leading Actor for his role in Aftersun he would become the youngest ever person to win the award, at just 27 years old.
