Major sinkhole opens up after violent storm in Orcutt, California

A major sinkhole opened up after a violent storm caused major flooding as water came pouring down the streets of Orcutt, California. The town suffered damaged to its infrastructure and 15 people had to be evacuated from their homes on January 10. No injuries were reported. Footage taken by Scott Safechuck shows the devastating aftermath, with one video showing the effects of the storm the night of 9th January, and another of the following day. Scott said: 'Damage to road and catchment basin in the Orcutt area. There are assessment teams surveying the entire County for damage assessments.' Scott said that by the following day, weather conditions had cleared up, giving way to an extensive cleanup operation as residents now have to figure out how to deal with the grave damages.
